? About the XMK‑5201 / S5201 Oil Separator
- Model: XMK‑5201 (1/2″ ODF) — sometimes also referenced as S5201 in parts lists

- Function: Separates oil from refrigerant discharge gas and returns it to the compressor crankcase via a float valve system, improving lubrication and system efficiency.
- Typical Installation: Vertical position close to compressor discharge line
- Use: Refrigeration & HVAC systems (R22, R134a, R404A, etc.)
? How It Works
When hot gas mixed with oil exits the compressor, the oil separator intercepts oil droplets using internal mesh and baffles. The heavier oil falls to the bottom and is returned back to the compressor crankcase through a float‑controlled needle valve, while mostly refrigerant vapor exits to the condenser.
